The Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Board is committed to advancing the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology for the sustainable socio-economic development of Sri Lanka. Through scientific research, technical services, human resource development, and international cooperation, we strive to deliver innovative and practical solutions that contribute to national priorities in agriculture, healthcare, industry, water resource management, environmental protection, food safety, and education.

As the national institution responsible for promoting the peaceful uses of atomic energy, SLAEB continuously works to strengthen research capabilities, modernize laboratory facilities, and expand knowledge-sharing initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. Our collaboration with national stakeholders, universities, research institutions, industries, and international organizations, particularly the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), enables us to introduce advanced technologies and build national capacity in nuclear science and its applications.
